Day Two: St. George, UT (CO-UT)

I pulled into St. George at about 10:30 this evening. The place is about 120 miles from a Vegas, but it seems like kind of a Mormon stronghold, one last reminder of what state you're in before you get to "Sin City." There's a big white church outside my window and the wireless server wouldn't let me on to YouTube. Right now, there are wild fires burning in the surrounding hills, giving the sky a red glow. There were a bunch of smoke-eaters in the lobby when I checked in. Here are some pics from today, with and without captions!

It's weird, eastern Colorado is almost as bad as Nebraska. And then....

...mountains!

more

more

still more

"Please, sir, can I have some more?"

"More?!?"

Okay, enough of that nonsense. Utah's really cool too.

Four straight hours and no food.

That's better.

Awwww.

Couple a hours to Vegas tomorrow morning, and then on to LA. Oh boy.

That turkey plate looks really good right now. I would have mixed-in that little side of canned cranberries though.

I thought that was honey mustard with frozen gravy...all you're missing is a pistachio shake son.
Happy travels Matt, I hope your place has a pool awaiting your arrival.
